Established in March 2002, Citigroup Services and Technology (China) Limited (Formerly known as Citicorp Software Technology and Services (Shanghai) Limited), hereinafter referred to as CSTC, is a wholly-owned legal vehicle set up by Citigroup. As one of the first batch of premier off-shore Financial IT and Financial Operation service providers in China, CSTC is committed to providing services for Citi businesses in more than 20 countries and regions in North America and Asia Pacific etc.
In March 2012, CSTC absorbed two other non-banking business legal vehicles of Citi in China - Citigroup Data Processing (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Citigroup Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The objective of this merger was to comply with China’s policies on Information Technology and Services Outsourcing as well as to be in line with Citi’s long-term strategy and global resource integration. After the merger, CSTC has been growing its capabilities steadily in software technology development, testing and support to back-office operations, data processing etc. These provides for a full spectrum of multifunctional financial back-end service center. In March 2014, the company has been officially renamed to Citigroup Services and Technology (China) Limited to better represent the full suite of financial related operations and technology services it provides.
CSTC is headquartered in Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park with branches in Dalian and Guangzhou, and has more than 4,000 employees. The company has been successively recognized as “Advanced Technology Service Enterprise”, “National May 1st Labor Award”, “Shanghai Top 100 Software and IT Service Industry” etc. CSTC is not only pivotal to Citi’s Operations & Technology function, but also plays a leading role in the Financial IT and Financial Operation services industry in China.
